Rusty – Rusty, the title character, is a typical 20 something geek. Rusty hopes to strike it big in one of the music/acting/artist fields of employement. He is the lead singer of the band “Cool Black Sheep” and has acted in a couple of commercials. Rusty also likes crossword puzzles and long walks on the beach.

Kevin – Kevin is Rusty’s offbeat best friend. Kevin and Rusty go way back. Kevin works only odd jobs and usually only when money is absolutely necessary. Kevin, while not traditionally smart, has a knack for software and general technology.

Sydney – Sydney is Kevin’s old high school crush and current girlfriend.

Mr. A – The A stands for Annoyance because he annoyed Rusty and Kevin by not telling him his name. The drummer for “Cool Black Sheep,” not much else is known about this mystery man. Lives in the closet of Kevin’s room.

Zack – Zack is the other roommate. Not often found outside his lab or Guitar Universe, Zack is constantly working on inventions and other robotic type things such as the “Automatic Joke Machine,” the “Automatic Pizza Dispenser,” and an unnamed killer robot. Zack comes from a wealthy family but was cut off after careless spending. He currently works part time at “Sounds CDs” in the Deepcoast mall.

Chelsey – Chel is the next door neighbor and part time love interest of Rusty. She lives with her roommate Reilly (not pictured).

Evil Rusty – Zack and Mr. A cooperated to create an evil clone of Rusty one night while he was asleep. Evil Rusty is the result of that endeavor. Evil Rusty does not speak.

The Rest - A Rusty Life also features many other characters including closet monsters, pandas, Rusty’s dad, Kevin’s brother, & the Grim Reaper amongst many others.
